A composition I wrote for an octet called “My Sufficiency Is Suffonsified And Further Indulgence Will Prove Injurious To My Gastronomical Salubrication” won an ASCAP award.  There were only about 20 award recipients in the country.  The octet instrumentation was me on trumpet, Morgan Fitch on Trombone, Joe Santa-Maria on Alto Saxophone, Andrew Conrad on Tenor Saxophone, Nathan Smith on Bass Clarinet, Steve Blum on Piano, Brandon Schmidt on Bass and Colin Woodford on Drums.  I plan to record an album with this ensemble within the next couple years.  Check out a recording below.
